Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended for this tour.

Also, the Grand Canyon tour operator does require a detailed questionnaire from each guest, and a signed acknowledgement of risk agreement. A more detailed Question and Answer informative sheet will be available after the final pricing comes through.

Altair has received many inquiries and much interest, so to hold your space, a $100 per person check deposit is required. This is fully refundable if once the final pricing is published, you decide the trip is not one you want to be a part of. At that time, another deposit of $300 per person will be required to hold your space. This is the requirement of the tour operator. You will be notified of their tour deposit and cancellation terms.

Due to limited availability, the National Park Service restricts RECREATIONAL BOATING OPPORTUNITIES on the Colorado River within the Grand Canyon National Park to one trip per year per individual. Because of this regulation, the tour company we are using cannot accept reservation from any individual who has or will participate in any other full or partial canyon commercial or non-commercial river trip within the same calendar year. Grand Canyon National Park's one-BOATING-trip-per-year rule is strictly enforced.

In the interim, should you have more questions please do no hesitate to call and speak to Pat Blassie or Sherry Norris at 314.968.9600 or fill out the form on this page.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - August 11: The KTRS group will depart St. Louis for Las Vegas, Nevada. We will be transferred from the McCarran International Airport to the Boulder Airport where we will board a place to the Bar 10 Ranch, which is in easy view of the Canyon. Bar 10 Ranch is located in the beautifully secluded, remote area, 80 miles from any civilization. Upon arrival at the lodge, we will receive instructions about our sleeping arrangements, meals, and ranch activities, such as horseback riding, skeet shooting, hiking, and ATV excursions. Our lunch and dinner will be included in our stay (note - some options have an extra charge, which we will advise you of as we get closer to our trip.

Days 2 & 3 - August 12 & 13: We will be taken by helicopter from the ranch to the river where our boats and guides will meet us. The remainder of this day and the next, August 13, will be spent floating calm water, running rapids, and eating and sleeping along the beaches of the river and under the stars. All meals and drinks are included. More information later on what you can bring for your own enjoyment.

Day 4 - August 14: After breakfast and after a short raft float, we will meet up with a jet boat for a ride to Lake Mead. Here we will disembark for our transfer to the City that never sleeps, Las Vegas. Here we will have a day and evening to dine, gamble, take in the spa, or just plain relax, before departing on August 15 to St. Louis.
